1. Information about paying
Paytrail is a secure payment method for both consumers and businesses. You’ll find key details and terms for available payment methods below. Please note that businesses using Paytrail’s service may offer different payment methods. We have a payment institution license granted by the Financial Supervisory Authority. The service is maintained by Paytrail Oyj (business ID 2122839-7) and is part of the Nexi/Nets Group.
The Paytrail payment service forwards your payment to the merchant. If Paytrail Oyj appears on your bank or card statement, we have handled your payment.
The online store acts as the marketer of the products and services and as the supplier of items to the customer. The online store is responsible for the legal requirements and other obligations related to the transaction. If you have a complaint or want return a product/service, you should contact the online store directly where the product/service was ordered.
When an online store uses Paytrail’s payment service, you will find a description of the service on their website usually in their terms and condition
2. Payment Service Provider
Paytrail Oyj is a collecting payment service provider and an authorized Payment Institution working in cooperation with Finnish banks and credit institutions. Paytrail Oyj will be shown as the recipient on your bank or credit card statement. Paytrail Oyj will forward the payment to the merchant. For complaints, please contact the website the payment was made to.

3. Payment methods
3.1 Online banking
You can use all Finnish banks via their eBanking or open banking (PSD2) interfaces, including Aktia, Danske Bank, Nordea, Oma Säästöpankki, Osuuspankki, POP Bank, Säästöpankki, S-Pankki, and Ålandsbanken. When we forward your payment to the online business, your bank statement will show Paytrail Oyj /the business’s name as the payment recipient. From the website, you’ll be directed straight to your bank to complete the payment securely.
3.2 Cards
You can pay online with Visa, Visa debit, Mastercard, Mastercard debit and American Express cards. All payments are protected using international authentication services such as Verified by Visa, Mastercard SecureCode, and American Express SafeKey.
Paytrail appears as the recipient on your card statement and securely forwards your payment to the online store. Your card details are processed through a secure form and are never saved in the online store’s system.
3.3 Mobile payments
Mobile payment applications MobilePay and Siirto enable you to pay for online purchases by online bank transfer or card payment by accepting the payment in the application. Apple Pay is a digital wallet that works across all Apple devices allowing you to pay for purchases using saved card information. Google Pay is a digital wallet that works on Android phones, smartwatches, and tablets allowing you to pay for purchases using saved card information.

3.4 Buy now, pay later
Buy now, pay later services through Paytrail are provided by OP and Walley. When you accept the payment, please read the specific terms for each finance company. By accepting the payment, you are also accepting the terms and conditions of the finance company. Terms and conditions are provided by the finance companies and are only in Finnish.

4. Terms of delivery and right of withdrawal
Digital consumer products are activated for use immediately after the payment has been accepted. The customer is responsible for the correctness of the contact information. The order confirmation and login information will be sent by email in connection with the purchase transaction.
Unused digital content purchases have a 14-day right of withdrawal. However, in the case of digital content, you lose your right of withdrawal if you have used the product. By accepting the terms, you agree to the lack of a right of withdrawal in such a case.
5. Rights to use digital services
Subject to the terms and restrictions agreed in these terms of use and in return for full payment of the fees according to the price list, Opetustarvike Oy grants the customer the right to use the service as follows: the customer receives a limited, non-exclusive and non-transferable right to use the service (liikenneopetus.fi and teorikoeharjoittelu.fi) in the manner intended by the terms of use, by connecting to the liikenneopetus.fi address from which the service is available from their terminal device via the Internet. The service works with the most common operating systems and browser programs. Opetustarvike Oy does not, however, guarantee that the services it offers can be used on the Customer’s devices. The Customer is responsible for the compatibility of their devices with the service. Each user is obliged to (i) register as a user of the service in accordance with the rights granted (ii) accept the user terms and conditions in force at any time; (iii) follow Opetustarvike Oy’s instructions; and (iv) consent to the processing of their information regarding their use of the service by Opetustarvike Oy for the purposes set out in these Terms of Use.
The right of use is per user. Opetustarvike Oy has the right to immediately block the customer’s access to the service if the service is used in violation of the law, official regulations, good practice or these Terms of Use. The customer has no right to use the service for any purpose other than the purpose agreed upon in these Terms of Use or the agreement between the customer and Opetustarvike Oy. Accordingly, the customer has no right to otherwise use, publicly display, copy, modify, re-distribute or re-license the material contained in the service in any way. The customer has no right to transfer or otherwise allocate their rights or obligations without the prior written consent of Opetustarvike Oy. All transfer or assignment actions made without consent are null and void. For the sake of clarity, it should be noted that digital products purchased from the service are personal and sharing the username and password with other users is strictly prohibited. Any kind of “sharing” of a username is strictly prohibited and each user must obtain a personal license.
6. Service Maintenance and Support
Opetustarvike Oy’s obligations to maintain the service and its responsibility for its functionality and availability are determined in full and exhaustively in accordance with this section of the agreement.
6.1 General
Opetustarvike Oy has the right to make changes to the technical implementation of the service. The operation of the service is checked periodically in accordance with general practice to prevent data breaches, malicious software and other malfunctions. Opetustarvike Oy has the right to interrupt the provision of the service for maintenance, modification, repair and installation work. The aforementioned interruptions are intended to be carried out at a time when the customer is caused as little inconvenience as possible from the interruptions. Opetustarvike Oy will notify the customer of planned interruptions in advance.
6.2 Error
Opetustarvike Oy does not guarantee that the service is completely error-free or that it operates without interruption or is usable. The usability of the service means that liikenneopetus.fi and teorikoeharjoittelu.fi are available to the customer from the service provider’s server. Opetustarvike Oy strives for continuous and trouble-free usability as much as possible. If the service is not available to the customer or there is another error in the service, the customer must notify Opetustarvike Oy of this immediately by email, which will begin correcting the error in the service that prevents or significantly limits its use as soon as possible, but no later than the weekday following the error notification and will continue to correct the error that prevents or significantly hinders the use of the service between 9:00 and 16:00 on weekdays until it has been corrected. Minor errors can be corrected as part of maintenance.
6.3 Outages and third parties
Opetustarvike Oy is not responsible for errors caused by the activities of parties outside of it, such as disruptions or interruptions in telecommunications or the customer’s activities, the customer’s material or the use of the customer or a third party. The service is subject to maintenance, modification, repair or installation work, which will be notified in advance. Opetustarvike Oy strives to carry out outages as planned, but does not guarantee uninterrupted use. Opetustarvike Oy is not obliged to provide updates to any third-party software.
7. Intellectual property rights
Intellectual property rights to the content and information of the service produced by Opetustarvike Oy or its suppliers belong to Opetustarvike Oy. Opetustarvike Oy is responsible for ensuring that the service or the material produced by Opetustarvike Oy for the service, when used in accordance with the agreement, does not infringe the intellectual property rights or other rights of third parties and that it has sufficient rights to grant the usage rights in accordance with this agreement. The content of the service (such as texts, documents or textbooks, images, videos, designs, logos and HTML code) may not be reproduced, transferred, distributed or stored in whole or in part in any form without the prior written permission of Opetustarvike Oy. The reproduction of texts, illustrations, designs and logos requires prior written permission from Opetustarvike Oy. The customer is responsible for the accuracy of the information entered into the service and ensures that he or she has the copyright to the material he or she uploads. If the Customer’s users have the opportunity to record video or other material in the service or its ancillary services, the Customer is responsible for ensuring that the users have copyright and all other necessary rights to the recorded material, including video material, and that the material or its use in the service does not infringe the rights of third parties or otherwise violate good practice.
8. Force majeure
Opetustarvike Oy is not liable for delays and damages caused by an obstacle beyond its control. Strikes, lockouts, boycotts and other industrial action are also considered force majeure when Opetustarvike Oy is the target or a party to them. A disruption in information and communication traffic that is beyond the control of the parties is also considered force majeure.
