The green light indicates that vehicles and trams may pass the main signal and the stop line. Regardless of the green light, pedestrians who are taking or are about take the pedestrian crossing must be given unimpeded right of way during the duration of the green light meant for pedestrians. A vehicle turning at a junction must also give way to pedestrians, bicyclists and moped drivers who are crossing the road the vehicle is about to turn into. A vehicle turning left must also give way to oncoming traffic.
