The sign indicates a lane reserved for trams. If the tramway lane has also been reserved for taxis, this will be indicated on the sign with the text “TAXI” on the bottom edge. In this case, the tramway lane is also permitted to emergency vehicles, police vehicles,as well as other vehicles indicated with a potential additional panel. The sign is to be placed over the tramway lane at its starting point. The sign’s area of effect extends to the next junction, unless the E12.1 Tramway lane ends or E12.2 Tramway lane ends sign indicates otherwise.
